One of the best experiences I had in the jungle. Really amazing location, beautiful nature, tons of animals. The guides are super passionate and very knowledgeable. Accommodations were perfect for the jungle, staff very friendly and amazing food! We saw 7 species of monkeys, sadly we missed the dolphins but this gives us reason to go for another visit! We stayed 3 days, 2 nights. Good to get the general vibe, but i recommand to stay at least 3 or even 4 nights! Next time I'll definitely stay as long as possible. As a family we spent 4-days with Cuyabeno Wildlife Centre. We did the Canoe Paddle. It was a magical and unforgettable adventure, that the whole family enjoyed! We highly recommend this trip!

Absolutely incredible! I went on the 5 day 4 night tour and there was never a dull moment. I recommend this option to get a real sense of everything the amazon has to offer. We canoed, hiked, swam in the lagoon, and saw so much wildlife I can't even list it all. The staff made accommodations for me as a vegan and all the meals were healthy and filling. The rooms were lovely with views of the forest and the staff were incredible. I had such a great time, I hope one day I can come back again!

Visiting the Cuyabeno Wildlife Center was a truly unique experience and one of the highlights of my Ecuador trip. Victor, our guide, was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and ecosystem. Alexandra was also amazing. I also really appreciated the flexibility they offered with dates, which made planning much easier. Highly recommend!

We had the most incredible experience at Cuyabeno! From our arrival to departure, everything was perfect. The rooms were comfortable, hot showers were great at the end of the day and the food was fantastic! The guide, Elias was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He was able to spot the smallest snakes in the jungle by just the reflection of their eyes. I was amazed by all the wildlife that we saw, including an Anaconda. We took the overnight bus and it was more comfortable than we expected. I highly recommend going and experiencing the untouched jungle.

This place has beautiful accommodation with much more than you would expect so deep in the jungle, like comfortable beds, showers with hot water, and amazing food. They even made a birthday cake for my son, who had his birthday during our 4 day visit. The staff is very friendly and considerate, no rushing, and gives you enough time to get ready. They are also great at spotting animals that we would've surely missed otherwise. We saw all the animals we set to, and even though spotting monkeys, sloths, caymans, and dolphins was amazing, I loved the night walk and having a scorpion spider walk on my hand. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

El Cuyabeno es el paraíso. Todas y todos deberíamos conocer la selva, conectarnos con ella para realmente vivir en armonía, prosperidad, respeto y conciencia. Fue un viaje mágico, de esos que no quieres que terminen. Ojalá los gobiernos valorarán y apoyaran más la vida silvestre, y también mejoren las carreteras pero eso no puede ser un freno para tener esta experiencia increíble, gracias Cuyabeno por tanto 🌱

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We did the 3 night 4 day tour and it was sensational! We saw so many amazing animals, toucans, macaws, pink dolphins, anacondas, boas, anteaters, capybara, sloths, spider and MORE! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the food was honestly some of the best we’ve had in South America( shout out to Edinson and his kitchen team) our Guides, Jorge & Victor were so knowledgeable and friendly. Super informative and helpful, made for the most wonderful experience. The trip to the local community was a highlight for me. Swimming in the lagoon at sunset (with the most spectacular sunsets ever) was mind blowing. Special mention to our driver Dario who managed to manoeuvre the Amazon rivers like the back of his hand, precision driving skills right there!!! 100% recommend to anyone wanting to see the Amazon. (Surprisingly not that many mosquitos either which was a huge bonus!) don’t think, just book it you won’t regret it!!!

J'ai fait le tour de 3 jours avec ma fille de 10 ans. Simplement en se rendant à l'hôtel, on avait déjà eu la chance d'observer des serpents, plusieurs sortes de singes et d'oiseaux, un paresseux, un porc-épic... Des randonnées de jour et de nuit, de la confectionnés de chocolat, des baignades dans le laguna, une recherche de caïman... C'était génial. Le lodge est calme et sûr, les guides sont géniaux, on mange bien, et les activités sont passionnantes. C'est OK pour les enfants d'une dizaines d'années, et probablement un peu moins. J'ai aussi vu des familles avec des touts-petits. Pensez à prendre beaucoup de change, vous serez régulièrement mouillé et les vêtements ne secheront pas 😊.

Merci pour cette expérience inoubliable en Amazonie. Le lodge est confortable. Le buffet est excellent. Les guides et l'équipe sont vraiment à nos petits soins pour passer un super séjour. Nous recommandons el Cuyabeno Wildlife Center!

We really liked it. We saw loads of animals, and our first guide, Miguel, was absolutely amazing. He really wanted to protect the animals. However, he unfortunately had to leave after 2 out of 4 days, and we got a new guide. This guide was nice, however there were some unfortunate experiences regarding him. After visiting the community, he told us to go back to the boats on our own, and it started RAINING so much. He only showed up 20+ minutes later, by which time, we were soaked. He also didn’t seem to care that much about the animals, he just wanted to give us a good show. Also, unfortunately the towel that I received was dirty, and there were cockroaches everywhere in our room (but it was in the jungle so I guess you could expect that)

Wir waren für 2 Nächte in der Dolphin Lodge u wir hatten von Anfang bis Ende einen absolut tollen Aufenthalt. Unser Guide Elias und unser Kapitän Walter waren ein tolles Team - wir haben uns bei beiden stets sicher u gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Absolut beeindruckend, wie Elias selbst aus dem fahrenden Boot heraus auch die kleinsten Wesen erkennen u bestimmen konnte. Seine ruhige u besonnene Art, dazu sein feiner Humor haben die Touren besonders gemacht. Auch die Crew an der Lodge hat einen tollen Job gemacht - stets freundlich u hilfsbereit. Das Essen war mega lecker und frisch und immer mehr als reichlich. Wahnsinn was an diesem kleinen Ort im Nirgendwo auf die Beine gestellt wird - wir werden den Aufenthalt nicht so schnell vergessen. Danke für dieses Erlebnis!!

Unser Guide Miguel versteht es einem die Natur des Regenwaldes näher zu bringen und ist sehr mitreißend. Wir haben die Tage sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Great experience! The lodge of the company is the dolphin lodge. The cuyabeno river is amazing, remote and special, but with the shuttle easy accessible from Quito. We saw every day dolphins, alligators, birds and snakes. The activities were amazing, I most of all loved the swimming in the river and the night hike. We saw boas, anacondas, seven different monkeys, many birds, the banana spider and tarantulas. Our guide Elias was very knowledgeable and very eager to show us as much as possible. He answered patiently and kindly our many questions. One could see, that he enjoys a lot what he does. I loved, that he is from one of the local communities and has himself played in the jungle as a kid. He was able to tell us a lot about the local communities and their way of living. And he showed us how to swing on a vine! On one of the days we visited one of the communities - the one from which our boat driver Dario comes from. It was amazing - we ate local food and had the opportunity to talk to a shaman. The accommodation is absolutely basic, but clean and the bedsheets smelled very nice (I don't know how this was possible in this humidity). The food was plenty and great with a lot of fruits and options for vegetarians. There is drinking water in a dispenser. Everyone was kind and helpful, the booking was very easy, the guys from the office need only minutes to answer. I really can recommend this adventure!

My trip to the Cuyabeno Reserve was unforgettable. I saw an incredible variety of wildlife — monkeys, sloths, pink dolphins, toucans, and more. The rainforest is stunning, and every moment felt like a real adventure. One of the highlights was swimming in the river and a beautiful lagoon — such a surreal and refreshing experience that I absolutely loved! The lodge was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located in the heart of the jungle. Meals were great, and it was the ideal place to relax after a day of exploring. Our guide was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, and his love for the rainforest made the trip even more special. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a real Amazon adventure!

So much to see,great schedule packed with activities. Victor, our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Cuyabeno and all the wildlife. Really good food and accomdation. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Brilliant value for our stay. Couldn't really ask for more, definitely stay here if you can!

Fantastic experience. My partner and I did the 5 day 4 night stay in March 2025. It’s remote in the Amazon so there are so many creatures! Our guide, Elias, was top notch. The food was amazing - complete with many veggies & fruit every meal that were seasoned! Just loved everything about the stay.

We had a fantastic time at the Cuyabeno Wildlife Center (Dolphin Lodge). We booked the 5 day enchanted Cuyabeno tour and really appreciated the extra day on the paddle canoe. 🔭 Highly recommend bringing the best binoculars you can, it can be difficult to spot the animals in the trees without them Our guide Tamara was fantastic and very enthusiastic about the wildlife. Johnny, our boat driver, was amazing at putting the boat in the perfect spot to see wildlife. Mike was very helpful when organizing our trip and all of the lodge staff were great. We saw almost every type of monkey, ant eater, capybara, Caimans, baby anaconda, tree boas, frogs, otters, and more! We also enjoyed the community, make sure to bring at least 15$ cash! The first 4 days we we shared a boat with the 4 day tour. This was a little busy, the boat was very full and people would clamor to see the animals. The last day of our 5 day tour we only had 6 people, it was AMAZING! Much more quite and we moved much slower. The smaller the group size the better in this case. The lodge was also great, our accommodations were basic but clean. No hot water, but I wanted to cool down anyways. The food was fantastic, and they were very accommodating of dietary restrictions. No wifi, but that is for the best in this case. You can ask to use it if there is an emergency. ♥️ Overall I would highly recommend the 5 day enchanted Cuyabeno tour! 🚌 We took the overnight private shuttle from Secret Garden Quito to Cuyabeno, if was very simple. On the way back we took the public Transportes Banos bus which was also great.

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights at Cuyabeno dolphin lodge and had an amazing time! The staff is extremely friendly and they will go above and beyond for those who are gluten free or have other special requests. The tours they provided were incredible! Our favorite guide was Jorge, he was able to spot insects and animals from far away and brought us right up close to them so everyone could get pictures. The other guides were great as well! It was truly such a magical experience!

We booked the 4-day Wild Amazonia tour, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The accommodation was pleasant, and the staff and guides were very kind and helpful. One of our favorite moments was sipping a hot cup of coffee on the pier, enjoying the breathtaking jungle views. To our delight, even a pink dolphin made a surprise appearance right in front of the lodge—definitely a special part of the Dolphin Lodge experience! Beyond that, there were plenty of tours to truly immerse ourselves in the jungle and appreciate the stunning diversity of wildlife and plant life. Thank you so much for this unforgettable adventure!

The Dolphin lodge itself provided clean and well maintained rooms and HOT showers. The activities were fantastic and was a well mixed itinerary. Thank you to our incredible guide Jorge! Thanks to his incredible well trained eye, we saw lots of monkeys, snakes, sloths & caiman! It was unbelievable at how quick he would find animals from far distances, our whole boat was so impressed! Adventure of a lifetime! My husband, our 2 kids aged 11 and 15 and I traveled to Cuyabeno Dolphin Lodge and had the most amazing adventure of a lifetime. The lodge is well organized, the beds super comfortable and the food is amazing! But the best part are all the guided excursions with extremely knowledgeable guides. We learned so much. And the pink dolphins like to hang out right in front of the lodge. Could not recommend this experience more! Just AMAZING!

Overall awesome experience and the entire staff was fantastic. We saw so many animals and there was never a dull moment. Ask to have Jorge as your guide if you like a more quiet and peaceful approach and want to really see a lot of animals. He was so good at spotting things it was hard to believe how he was doing it. Miguel was also a wealth of knowledge if you want a more academic approach. The food was very good but you have to be quick if you want seconds because they take it away pretty fast! Would highly recommend to anyone

Maravilloso lugar, muy inspirador el navegar entre las copas de los árboles, conocer a la comunidad, ver los animales y plantas que lo habitan. Alexandra es una de mujeres de una comunidad de la amazonia ecuatoriana que guío nuestro recorrido en el Cuyabeno, muy energética y activa, eso me encantó su entusiasmo, conoce mucho de la selva y hace sus recorridos en ingles y español, cuida mucho de que la experiencia sea segura para sus turistas pero sobre todo te ayuda a reconocer muchísimas especies de manera que terminas aprendiendo bastante La comida de Martita estuvo execelente, tuvieron opciones vegetarianas y omnívoras muy buenas al estilo de buffet, frutas y ensaladas frescas siempre. Y por último el Sr Wittman de la lancha que nos acompañó, también de una comunidad amazónica fue muy bueno, nos ayudó a encontrar algunas especies y trasladarnos en cada aventura ñ. En el aspecto de las habitaciones son minimalistas, amplias el baño es bonito y las camas son muy confortables. Un lugar perfecto para desconectar de lo cotidiano y vivir la belleza del presente

Ongelooflijke Jungle-Ervaring met Cuyabeno Wildlife Als je de kans hebt, ga dan zeker naar de jungle! Dit was zonder twijfel een van de absolute hoogtepunten van onze reis door Ecuador. Wij kozen voor het 4-daagse, 3-nachten programma en dat was een geweldige keuze. Het zat goed in elkaar en gaf ons de kans om de jungle echt te beleven. Onze lodge was comfortabel, het personeel ontzettend vriendelijk en het eten? Fantastisch! Elke maaltijd was een feest. Voor de junglewandeling kregen we stevige laarzen, waardoor we moeiteloos door moerassen konden lopen en de omgeving optimaal konden verkennen. Onze gids was werkelijk geweldig—geboren en getogen in de jungle en met een schat aan kennis. Hij liet ons niet alleen de wonderen van de natuur zien, maar vertelde ook boeiende verhalen over het regenwoud en zijn inwoners. En wat een dieren hebben we gezien. Roze dolfijnen, zwarte kaaimannen, talloze vogelsoorten, spinnen, slangen, schorpioenen en verschillende apensoorten. Echt een onvergetelijke ervaring. Naast avontuur was er ook ruimte om te ontspannen en te genieten van de rust van de jungle. Het bezoek aan de sjamaan en de lokale bevolking was een bijzondere toevoeging—samen koken en hun tradities leren kennen maakte deze reis nog specialer. The Cuyabeno Wildlife Center is the PLACE to go if you want to visit Cuyabeno and experience the Amazon Rainforest from the Ecuadorian side. I visited with one of my friends who came from Japan and the experience exceeded all expectations. We were under the guidance of three knowledgeable tour guides: Esmeralda brought us on the two-hour trip by boat to the lodge. She was our first guide and so we were amazed by everything that we were able to see with her- so many different birds, monkeys, and even an anaconda. Then once we arrived, Victor Hugo was our main tour guide for the next three days. He's full of information about the area and all the wildlife that lives there. I don't think there was a single question we had that he could not answer. What's what bird sound from afar? Victor knows. He filled us with fun facts while showing us the most amazing things. We were able to spot a whole family of otters. Otters!! He's also got an eagle's eye for spotting things- like a small cayman from 20 meters away. Whatever you are interested, Victor will try to find it for you. Fun fact, he also took a lot of the professional looking photos that are hanging up in the cafeteria/lounge area. Our last guide was Alexandra who led us back from the lodge to the pick-up spot. We had some great conversations and for someone who only just started learning English 6-months ago, she's has made huge progress and is now a wonderful guide. Most of all, she's always willing to learn new words and is such a smiley person. We also saw an anaconda on the way back which really made it a full-circle experience. The food was sooooo delicious, every single day. There were so many fresh vegetables and fruits and the staff work with any food restrictions, diets, or allergies you might have. The rooms were also really comfortable and they even had hot water, which was a huge plus. At night, the jungle comes to life with sound. My friend and I really appreciated all three of our guides and were really pleased to see such great representation of genders and local indigenous people on the staff. I felt the trip to the local community was also done quite respectfully, which was important to me. I will of course recommend them to others 🙂

Highlight of my trip for sure! You’re not gonna get bored, there is a full diverse program and it will really feel like your in the jungle. The food was awsome so are the rooms. With even warm water showers. Definitely would recommend going not something you wanna mis out on!!

I did 5 days and 4 nights and it was well worth it! The service was very good and I had a pleasant stay! No wifi in the lodge which made the retreat even better! The activities were also very nice and was a good mix all together. The canoe trip on the last day was definitely worth it! Saw lots of dolphins, snakes, spiders and to top things of a family of otters closeby from a meter away! Incredible! Did the 4 day 3 night Amazon tour and it was incredible! We had a last minute issue with public buses and Cuyabeno helped us get the shuttle within the hour! The facilities were all you can ask for in the Amazon with bug nets and own washrooms. The food was delicious and our guide Alexandra was amazing! Very knowledgeable and passionate about showing us her home. Would go back again!

The overall stay was great - lovely room and the food was wonderful. There was fresh fruit every morning and coffee, tea, & hot chocolate available all day. All of the tours were great - night walks, bird watching, sunsets - but making chocolate from cacao was definitely a runner for the best thing we did. We had a great time with our guide Elias; he spotted loads of animals and he comes from a community in the area so was able to answer all of our questions about growing up in a community.

We had a brilliant few days staying at Dolphin Lodge, really enjoyed ourselves! The lodge was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious. Victor and Alexandra were our tour guides and they were great, very knowledgeable. Travelling by boat was well managed and really fun. The whole process to organise was very easy with Mikes help. Would absolutely recommend this trip! We did the 4D/3N your and had a blast! Miguel was a fantastic guide, his energy was phenomenal. He knows so much about all the different kinds of animals, plants and critters in the rainforest! He was very good at spotting creatures in the trees and in the water, both during the day as during the night. Our stay itself was very nice as well. We were a bit afraid of spiders, so we asked them to check our room beforehand, but we found absolutely no spiders in our room during our stay! The room is very spacious, with mosquito nets on the windows as well as on the beds! Of course it's not luxurious, but that is to be expected when you're staying in the middle of the rainforest. The food was excellent as well! We had such an amazing time, thanks to all of the lodge!

Unser Guide Miguel sprach perfektes Englisch und war mit voller Begeisterung und Liebe zum Amazonas dabei. Trotz seiner langjährigen Erfahrung war seine Leidenschaft spürbar! Die Lodge war ebenfalls perfekt: saubere Zimmer mit Moskitonetz, jederzeit kostenloser Kaffee, Kakao und Trinkwasser. Auch Hängematten gabs im Gemeinschaftsbereich und man konnte sich gratis ein SUP ausleihen. Das Essen war sehr lecker – sogar den Salat konnten wir bedenkenlos genießen. Klare Empfehlung! 🌿🐒
