Fantastic experience. My partner and I did the 5 day 4 night stay in March 2025. It’s remote in the Amazon so there are so many creatures! Our guide, Elias, was top notch. The food was amazing - complete with many veggies & fruit every meal that were seasoned! Just loved everything about the stay.

We had a fantastic time at the Cuyabeno Wildlife Center (Dolphin Lodge). We booked the 5 day enchanted Cuyabeno tour and really appreciated the extra day on the paddle canoe. 🔭 Highly recommend bringing the best binoculars you can, it can be difficult to spot the animals in the trees without them Our guide Tamara was fantastic and very enthusiastic about the wildlife. Johnny, our boat driver, was amazing at putting the boat in the perfect spot to see wildlife. Mike was very helpful when organizing our trip and all of the lodge staff were great. We saw almost every type of monkey, ant eater, capybara, Caimans, baby anaconda, tree boas, frogs, otters, and more! We also enjoyed the community, make sure to bring at least 15$ cash! The first 4 days we we shared a boat with the 4 day tour. This was a little busy, the boat was very full and people would clamor to see the animals. The last day of our 5 day tour we only had 6 people, it was AMAZING! Much more quite and we moved much slower. The smaller the group size the better in this case. The lodge was also great, our accommodations were basic but clean. No hot water, but I wanted to cool down anyways. The food was fantastic, and they were very accommodating of dietary restrictions. No wifi, but that is for the best in this case. You can ask to use it if there is an emergency. ♥️ Overall I would highly recommend the 5 day enchanted Cuyabeno tour! 🚌 We took the overnight private shuttle from Secret Garden Quito to Cuyabeno, if was very simple. On the way back we took the public Transportes Banos bus which was also great.

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights at Cuyabeno dolphin lodge and had an amazing time! The staff is extremely friendly and they will go above and beyond for those who are gluten free or have other special requests. The tours they provided were incredible! Our favorite guide was Jorge, he was able to spot insects and animals from far away and brought us right up close to them so everyone could get pictures. The other guides were great as well! It was truly such a magical experience!

We booked the 4-day Wild Amazonia tour, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The accommodation was pleasant, and the staff and guides were very kind and helpful. One of our favorite moments was sipping a hot cup of coffee on the pier, enjoying the breathtaking jungle views. To our delight, even a pink dolphin made a surprise appearance right in front of the lodge—definitely a special part of the Dolphin Lodge experience! Beyond that, there were plenty of tours to truly immerse ourselves in the jungle and appreciate the stunning diversity of wildlife and plant life. Thank you so much for this unforgettable adventure!

The Dolphin lodge itself provided clean and well maintained rooms and HOT showers. The activities were fantastic and was a well mixed itinerary. Thank you to our incredible guide Jorge! Thanks to his incredible well trained eye, we saw lots of monkeys, snakes, sloths & caiman! It was unbelievable at how quick he would find animals from far distances, our whole boat was so impressed! He is very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of time to answer any questions.

We had a great experience during our 7 day tour to the Peru border. It was great to see different areas of the Amazon. The whole crew was amazing and from our guide we got a lot of interesting information. We can highly recommend this tour.

Adventure of a lifetime! My husband, our 2 kids aged 11 and 15 and I traveled to Cuyabeno Dolphin Lodge and had the most amazing adventure of a lifetime. The lodge is well organized, the beds super comfortable and the food is amazing! But the best part are all the guided excursions with extremely knowledgeable guides. We learned so much. And the pink dolphins like to hang out right in front of the lodge. Could not recommend this experience more! Just AMAZING!

Overall awesome experience and the entire staff was fantastic. We saw so many animals and there was never a dull moment. Ask to have Jorge as your guide if you like a more quiet and peaceful approach and want to really see a lot of animals. He was so good at spotting things it was hard to believe how he was doing it. Miguel was also a wealth of knowledge if you want a more academic approach. The food was very good but you have to be quick if you want seconds because they take it away pretty fast! Would highly recommend to anyone

Maravilloso lugar, muy inspirador el navegar entre las copas de los árboles, conocer a la comunidad, ver los animales y plantas que lo habitan. Alexandra es una de mujeres de una comunidad de la amazonia ecuatoriana que guío nuestro recorrido en el Cuyabeno, muy energética y activa, eso me encantó su entusiasmo, conoce mucho de la selva y hace sus recorridos en ingles y español, cuida mucho de que la experiencia sea segura para sus turistas pero sobre todo te ayuda a reconocer muchísimas especies de manera que terminas aprendiendo bastante La comida de Martita estuvo execelente, tuvieron opciones vegetarianas y omnívoras muy buenas al estilo de buffet, frutas y ensaladas frescas siempre. Y por último el Sr Wittman de la lancha que nos acompañó, también de una comunidad amazónica fue muy bueno, nos ayudó a encontrar algunas especies y trasladarnos en cada aventura ñ. En el aspecto de las habitaciones son minimalistas, amplias el baño es bonito y las camas son muy confortables. Un lugar perfecto para desconectar de lo cotidiano y vivir la belleza del presente

Ongelooflijke Jungle-Ervaring met Cuyabeno Wildlife Als je de kans hebt, ga dan zeker naar de jungle! Dit was zonder twijfel een van de absolute hoogtepunten van onze reis door Ecuador. Wij kozen voor het 4-daagse, 3-nachten programma en dat was een geweldige keuze. Het zat goed in elkaar en gaf ons de kans om de jungle echt te beleven. Onze lodge was comfortabel, het personeel ontzettend vriendelijk en het eten? Fantastisch! Elke maaltijd was een feest. Voor de junglewandeling kregen we stevige laarzen, waardoor we moeiteloos door moerassen konden lopen en de omgeving optimaal konden verkennen. Onze gids was werkelijk geweldig—geboren en getogen in de jungle en met een schat aan kennis. Hij liet ons niet alleen de wonderen van de natuur zien, maar vertelde ook boeiende verhalen over het regenwoud en zijn inwoners. En wat een dieren hebben we gezien. Roze dolfijnen, zwarte kaaimannen, talloze vogelsoorten, spinnen, slangen, schorpioenen en verschillende apensoorten. Echt een onvergetelijke ervaring. Naast avontuur was er ook ruimte om te ontspannen en te genieten van de rust van de jungle. Het bezoek aan de sjamaan en de lokale bevolking was een bijzondere toevoeging—samen koken en hun tradities leren kennen maakte deze reis nog specialer. The Cuyabeno Wildlife Center is the PLACE to go if you want to visit Cuyabeno and experience the Amazon Rainforest from the Ecuadorian side. I visited with one of my friends who came from Japan and the experience exceeded all expectations. We were under the guidance of three knowledgeable tour guides: Esmeralda brought us on the two-hour trip by boat to the lodge. She was our first guide and so we were amazed by everything that we were able to see with her- so many different birds, monkeys, and even an anaconda. Then once we arrived, Victor Hugo was our main tour guide for the next three days. He's full of information about the area and all the wildlife that lives there. I don't think there was a single question we had that he could not answer. What's what bird sound from afar? Victor knows. He filled us with fun facts while showing us the most amazing things. We were able to spot a whole family of otters. Otters!! He's also got an eagle's eye for spotting things- like a small cayman from 20 meters away. Whatever you are interested, Victor will try to find it for you. Fun fact, he also took a lot of the professional looking photos that are hanging up in the cafeteria/lounge area. Our last guide was Alexandra who led us back from the lodge to the pick-up spot. We had some great conversations and for someone who only just started learning English 6-months ago, she's has made huge progress and is now a wonderful guide. Most of all, she's always willing to learn new words and is such a smiley person. We also saw an anaconda on the way back which really made it a full-circle experience. The food was sooooo delicious, every single day. There were so many fresh vegetables and fruits and the staff work with any food restrictions, diets, or allergies you might have. The rooms were also really comfortable and they even had hot water, which was a huge plus. At night, the jungle comes to life with sound. My friend and I really appreciated all three of our guides and were really pleased to see such great representation of genders and local indigenous people on the staff. I felt the trip to the local community was also done quite respectfully, which was important to me. I will of course recommend them to others 🙂

Highlight of my trip for sure! You’re not gonna get bored, there is a full diverse program and it will really feel like your in the jungle. The food was awsome so are the rooms. With even warm water showers. Definitely would recommend going not something you wanna mis out on!!

I did 5 days and 4 nights and it was well worth it! The service was very good and I had a pleasant stay! No wifi in the lodge which made the retreat even better! The activities were also very nice and was a good mix all together. The canoe trip on the last day was definitely worth it! Saw lots of dolphins, snakes, spiders and to top things of a family of otters closeby from a meter away! Incredible! Did the 4 day 3 night Amazon tour and it was incredible! We had a last minute issue with public buses and Cuyabeno helped us get the shuttle within the hour! The facilities were all you can ask for in the Amazon with bug nets and own washrooms. The food was delicious and our guide Alexandra was amazing! Very knowledgeable and passionate about showing us her home. Would go back again!

The overall stay was great - lovely room and the food was wonderful. There was fresh fruit every morning and coffee, tea, & hot chocolate available all day. All of the tours were great - night walks, bird watching, sunsets - but making chocolate from cacao was definitely a runner for the best thing we did. We had a great time with our guide Elias; he spotted loads of animals and he comes from a community in the area so was able to answer all of our questions about growing up in a community.

We had a brilliant few days staying at Dolphin Lodge, really enjoyed ourselves! The lodge was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious. Victor and Alexandra were our tour guides and they were great, very knowledgeable. Travelling by boat was well managed and really fun. The whole process to organise was very easy with Mikes help. Would absolutely recommend this trip! We did the 4D/3N your and had a blast! Miguel was a fantastic guide, his energy was phenomenal. He knows so much about all the different kinds of animals, plants and critters in the rainforest! He was very good at spotting creatures in the trees and in the water, both during the day as during the night. Our stay itself was very nice as well. We were a bit afraid of spiders, so we asked them to check our room beforehand, but we found absolutely no spiders in our room during our stay! The room is very spacious, with mosquito nets on the windows as well as on the beds! Of course it's not luxurious, but that is to be expected when you're staying in the middle of the rainforest. The food was excellent as well! We had such an amazing time, thanks to all of the lodge!

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis des Gesamtpakets ist top! Wir haben die 5-Tages-Tour gebucht und das Programm war abwechslungsreich und spannend. Unser Guide Miguel sprach perfektes Englisch und war mit voller Begeisterung und Liebe zum Amazonas dabei. Trotz seiner langjährigen Erfahrung war seine Leidenschaft spürbar! Die Lodge war ebenfalls perfekt: saubere Zimmer mit Moskitonetz, jederzeit kostenloser Kaffee, Kakao und Trinkwasser. Auch Hängematten gabs im Gemeinschaftsbereich und man konnte sich gratis ein SUP ausleihen. Das Essen war sehr lecker – sogar den Salat konnten wir bedenkenlos genießen. Klare Empfehlung! 🌿🐒

Wir können das Cuyabeno Wildlife Center nur empfehlen! Die Dolphin Lodge liegt wunderbar mitten im Dschungel, das Team war sehr nett und professionell und das Essen ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten eine super Zeit mit unserem Guide Miguel, der uns den Regenwald in all seinen Facetten zeigte. Miguel‘s Liebe zum Regenwald, den Tieren und den Communities war nicht zu übersehen - danke, dass wir Teil davon sein durften! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

I just returned from a trip to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Centre and Dolphin Lodge - it was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring everything was smooth throughout my stay. The meals were a real highlight—fresh, flavorful, and way better than I expected for such a remote location. Every meal felt like a treat after a day of adventure. Our guide, Victor, was simply phenomenal. His deep knowledge of the Amazon’s animals and birds was amazing. Thanks to Victor, we saw pink river dolphins, monkeys, toucans, caimans, and even a sloth! The accommodations were basic but perfectly fine for the setting. Everything was clean and comfortable, and they provided rubber boots and ponchos, which were lifesavers on muddy walks. Cuyabeno Wildlife Centre and Dolphin Lodge is an incredible adventure that offers so much value for the price. The wonderful staff, delicious food, and skilled guide made this an experience I’ll treasure forever.

C’était une expérience absolument unique. Notre guide, Elias, est vraiment extraordinaire, il a des yeux de lynx, il voit tout. Nous avons vu une quantité incroyable d’animaux, d’insectes et d’oiseaux. Nous avons même eu la chance de voir un anaconda, wow! La trail de ´nuit’ est particulièrement impressionnante, c’est à ne pas manquer. Le service au Dolphin Lodge était impeccable, les repas, délicieux. Bref, nous recommandons chaudement cette excursion dans l’Amazonie d’Équateur.

By far the best wildlife experience me and my family have ever had. We saw more wildlife everyday than we had ever seen before. 5 species of monkeys, pink dolphins, two and three fingered sloths, anacondas, so many majestic birds (parrots, guayacanes, etc), and tapirs. José Miguel, our deeply knowledgeable wildlife guide, is hands down the best, most engaging and fun guide I’ve ever had the pleasure to spend time with. I’ve been recommending this place far and wide since we came back. What a dream!

We went on a 4 day 3 night trip to the jungle and Elias was our guide. I've been to the Amazon a few times before but this experience was by far the most comfortable and exciting. The logistics were seamless as they picked us up from our hostel and the tour began right where they dropped us off. Communication beforehand was excellent as they responded quickly and even helped me resolve some payment issues. The food was outstanding with delicious meals made from local ingredients including vegetarian options. The program was packed with activities and there is so much to do. While we chose to skip a few evening activities to rest, you could easily stay busy from morning until bedtime if you wanted. The guides were incredible. Elias took amazing care of us and his enthusiasm was truly contagious. It is clear that they love and respect the jungle, treating it with great care. The jungle itself was breathtaking, full of wildlife and stunning nature, and the guides were experts at spotting and pointing out animals while patiently answering all our questions. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience. We had an amazing time and hope to return someday!

Me and my partner just returned from Dolphin Lodge in Cuyabeno. From the start this place along with the people never failed to amaze us! I was truly shocked at how much wildlife we would see over the course of 4 days. However, it was our guides throughout this experience, including Jorgé Esmeralda and Elias who made this trip even better! My wife and I had a great experience at Dolphin Lodge. The guides and tours were great, lots of wildlife sightings. Beautiful surroundings. Food served was very good, as well were the guides. Visited a local community, went swimming in the Grande Lagoon. Staff were friendly and guides very knowledgeable and able to spots lots of wildlife. All in all a great experience that I would recommend to anybody and we felt that the price was reasonable, we had booked the 5-day Enchanted tour. Una experiencia espectacular! La estadía en Dolphin Lodge es completa y llena de aventuras. Nuestro guía (Miguel) tiene una energía increíble y se siente su compromiso con el lugar, con la naturaleza y las personas. Cuando llegamos al Puente nos costó ubicarnos ya que no sabíamos que a donde íbamos era Dolphin lodge, pero pronto las personas del lugar nos guiaron con mucha amabilidad. Tuvimos también la oportunidad de conocer a personas como Johnny que nos llevó en la canoa y nos enseñó acerca de su comunidad.

Loved my experience in the Amazon! I did the 4 day, 3 night package, and it was the perfect amount of time to experience the rainforest. My guide, Viktor, was so knowledgeable and engaging— he did a great job entertaining our group and ensuring we learned about the different wildlife and plants. His wildlife spotting skills are immaculate. Truly a detail-oriented individual, and I am so grateful for this experience! The food at the lodge was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and harvested locally, and every meal was different. Great experience overall.

This trip was absolutely one of a kind, our guide (Victor) had eyes of a hawk, spotting tons of wildlife and explaining any questions we may have had. The food was delicious, self severed with tons of options for each meal (the soups at lunch are incredible). The hangout areas are very fun and cozy allowing you to connect with other travellers and build a strong bond during your stay (we did the 5 days at dolphin lounge with my family of 4). The showers have the HOTTEST water I’ve ever had in Ecuador. There are tons of activities everyday with the ability to swim in the Laguna each evening. And a big thank you to the amazing customer service (Micheal) he was the leading factor for me choosing this tour agency, he is very responsive and helpful in anything you may need. Great organization to experience the Amazone

Absolut empfehlenswert. Preis - Leistung mehr als gut! Die Lodge hat eine super Lage und ist die absolute Idylle. Es ist sauber, das gesamte Team ist super nett und herzlich und steht mit jeder Frage unterstützend zur Seite. Die Tage sind gut und abwechselnd organisiert. Von Sonnenaufgang bis Sonnenuntergang nimmt man das volle Erlebnis mit. Das Essen ist täglich anders, berücksichtigt alle Wünsche, ist frisch, lecker und ausreichend. Die Guides Victor und Miguel sind wahre Naturexperten und sehr herzlich. Kapitän Johnny erfüllt auch jeden Wunsch und ist ein toller Fahrer. Auch der Kundenservice der Lodge ist super: zügig, hilfsbereit und sehr nett.
