It was amazing. If you look to live some days on a total disconnection, its the place! Forget the AC, checking your phone constantly nd enjoy the sound of the nature! Be waked up by parrot, get to know your frog and tarentula roommates at the canteen and try to follow the path of the pink dolphins!

Fue una experiencia maravillosa, la atencion muy buena, tuve un problema con una gotera encima de la cama pero lo solucionaron rapidamente. El contacto con la naturaleza, los animales salvajes y toda la gente que ahi se reune para vivir la experiencia fue muy gratificante. Para mi lo mejor fue la caminata tanto la del dia como la nocturna y nuestra guia Esmeralda . En resumen, una experiencia muy recomendada.

Visitar la Amazonas con Cuyabeno Wildlife Center ha estado una experiencia inolvidable. Estuvimos 3 días, muy intensos, vimos muchísimos pájaros, una anaconda gigante y una pequeña, delfines rosas, arañas, tarántulas, sapos de todo tipo... las actividades son agradables y divertidas, el sitio muy acogedor, seguro y la comida MUY buena. Los guías son muy atentos y buscan todos los animales posibles, con gran astucia. El único semi-problema es que no había wifi y no lo sabíamos. Aún así, estar aislados fue aún mejor para la experiencia. Recomendamos 4 días, ya que 3 días fueron pocos.

We really loved our visit here! It was a good mix of relaxation and activities. Our guide, Jorge, was exceptional. We spotted lots of animals with his expertise. We took the shuttle in from a hostel in Quito, and it was definitely a good choice. The food was great and we always had plenty to eat, as well as coffee and tea between meals. The staff was very kind and accommodating for vegetarians. We would love to come back someday!

We had an amazing time here. We did 5 day , 4 nights. Most people seem to do less but I recommend the longer trip as you get more time to experience the wildlife. We saw 6 types of monkeys, anaconda (and other snakes!) dolphins, loads of caimans and many more animals. Our guides were awesome. Special mention to Jose Miguel who had some much knowledge and enthusiasm. He really made the trip amazing. My only critisim would be that they need to give a bit more information when you arrive e.g. a welcome meeting to explain how the place works and what you will be doing. We had to ask around to find out. However, this is a small issue and I would still highly recommend coming here! Some practical info: We took the private shuttle from Secret Garden which took around 12 hours. It was well organised. You then take a boat for 2-4 hours depending on water level. It took us 3ish on the way there , 2 on the way back. You get 3 meals per day , and you generally do a early morning activity starting at 6 am, then have breakfast at 7:30, main activty at 9, then , then lunch at the lodge or out around 1:30 or 2, then evening activty starting at 4ish, dinner at 8ish. Sometimes you might do a night walk after dinner. You should be put into groups and will have the same tour guide each day. Wear long pants and long sleeves tops. Bring spare clothes as it's gets wet ! Watch out for fish jumping in the boats !! As far as I can tell, Cuyabeno Wildlife centre and Dolphin are the same place. We booked with Cuyabeno Wildlife centre but when we arrived everything said Dolphin lodge.

The dolphin lodge really lives up to its name and the expectations. From the lodge we spotted the unique amazon river dolphin while chilling in the hammocks and drinking a tea/coffiee. The organization spoiled us with delicious food, exciting activities and passionate, yet playful guides. You won't get bored, even during the longer tours (5D,4N), as they really try to give every visitor the best experience possible. I can honnestly say that this visit to the amazon changes how we look at nature and our relation towards it: it's not aggressive if treated the right way, incredibly beautiful and rich in every way. All you need to experience it is an open mind and a tour with Cuyaheno Wildlife Center/Dolphin Lodge. Special thanks to the amazing guides that I had the honour to meet during this tour: Esmeralda (a great singer), Jorge (a great dancer), Victor (a great fan of canoeing), Gabriel (a great source of enthusiasm and the light of the party) and José-Miguel (a great human being and inspiration for many). They all have their own style, but compliment each other perfectly. I also want to express a warm gratitude towards the local communities that open their territory and their doors for us to see this wonder of the world and how they live there and interact with nature.

Miguel (le guide) est plus que gentil, on sent qu’il adore la forêt et qu’il aime aussi partager ses connaissances Au lodge on est aussi au contact des personnes de la communauté et ils sont tous très gentils, le soir des activités type karaoke peuvent être organisé et tout le monde peut participer Et bien sûr tout ça s’ajoute aux nombreuses découvertes de plantes, d’animaux et d’insectes qui sont impressionnants 🙂

We spent 4 days here. All the staff doing a great job! I have to highlight Victor’s personality who is a guide. He was never too much, very well prepared, and solve all the problems. Nature is extraordinary, the community visit was too long for me. I really don’t like to see people who would like to sell any cheap temu or aliexpress gadgets. Otherwise cooking together and location is an interesting experience. Food is more than enough during the stay. The only “negative” is the cleanliness level. Every people and culture has different standards but I think it can be a point for development. I really recommend the shuttle bus to get there. We used public transport one way and it took 13 hours from Quito. Extra info, we were robbed (laptop, cash) during the travel. Never had such kind of experience before, insted of I visited many countries before the same way as here. On the way back we chose shuttle . It is a bit more expensive but a good quality meal included and less time, higher safety! In conclusion this jungle experience is very well organized one. We could see many interesting animals, had some time for swimming, and good opportunity to know more about the local nature and people! Victor is the best! Very good person.

Wij hebben een vierdaagse jungle tour gedaan. Het was geweldig, echt ons hoogtepunt van onze reis door Ecuador. Alles is tot in de puntjes geregeld; de guides, het verblijf, het eten en de boten waarmee je overal naartoe gaat. Het is er prachtig en je waant je diep in de Amazone. Echt een aanrader!

A wonderful experience! Our guide Victor knew a lot about the jungle and its inhabitants. We got to see and learn a lot about wild animals and yet I felt very safe throughout the whole trip. Can definitely recommend!

Had a lovely time visiting. I contacted them the night before leaving and they responded instantly. Showers were hot, room cleaned every day and served different food every day. Saw many wildlife and the guides explained a lot about the jungle. Would definitely book again!

We had an amazing stay! We have seen so many animals, it was incredible. We stayed for a week for the 7-day Peru border experience. The first night we stayed at the lodge. It was in a beautiful remote location where you could even see pink dolphins. Every day, you were served a delicious (vegetarian optional) meal three times a day, with dinner even consisting of three courses. On the second day, you had a long 5-hour canoe trip to the middle of nowhere, where you stayed for two nights. The campsite even had a shower, a toilet and a roof, which turned out to be very pleasant with the heavy rain showers. After two nights, you moved to another campsite. Our guide Carlos had already convinced us that it would definitely be worth it. The ecosystem and surroundings were completely different compared to the first campsite. Watching the beautiful sunset, swimming with pink dolphins in the distance, searching for the largest caimans and listening to the sounds of the jungle at night are experiences we will never forget. Despite the long canoe trips, it was worth every minute! We would like to thank Carlos very much, he was the best. He knows all the sounds of the jungle (all the birds, caimans and monkeys) and has such keen vision, he can easily spot animals far away and high up in the trees. What an absolute gem in the heart of the Amazon! Their work is amazing, and the way they support the local community and wildlife is truly inspiring. Nothing but good things to share. Cuyabeno Wildlife Center was incredible in every way. It was well run, the food was delicious (we stayed a week and saw vegetarians, vegans, and GF catered for as well), and our guide Victor was one of the best wildlife guides we have had. To be two hours downriver, completely off grid, to have a hot shower, all our meals catered, a private bathroom with flushing toilet - this was amazing. The whole area and vibe felt great. There is a strong connection to the local community. It felt like this part of the Amazon had so much pride in taking care of the land and animals. Overall, this was just a fantastic experience. As wildlife photographers, we were so happy we went here and we won't hesitate to go back again if we can. Thank you to all who work so hard to make this possible.

Absolutely outstanding! My husband and I stayed for a week. This is an incredible wildlife destination for photography. Food was delicious - vegetarians and GF catered for. For being 2 hours downstream, completely off grid, a hot shower, flushing toilet, bed w/ mosquito net and ability to keep phones and batteries was fantastic. Our guide Victor was one of the best guides we've had. All staff were very nice and everything ran smoothly. This is an incredible gem in the Amazon doing fantastic work, supporting and connecting with the local community and wildlife in the area. Only good things to say. Absolutely wonderful experience and thank you everyone for your hard work!

We had an amazing 5 days at the dolphin lodge. Our guide William was fantastic, helping us spot a huge variety of animals. The boat drivers and kitchen staff were also brilliant and we were well fed at every meal.

Einfache Zimmer, aber sauber. Moskitonetze nicht die neusten und nicht ganz dicht. Sehr nettes Team, bemüht auf besondere Wünsche der Gäste einzugehen, viel zu Flora und Fauna erzählt. Essen ganz gut und recht abwechslungsreich.

Genuinely the best 4 days ever!!! From the moment we were picked up on the boat, to the moment we were dropped off, the guides and boat drivers made us feel so welcome and were incredibly talented and finding the wildlife! The lodge was so welcoming, friendly and cozy, everything was spotless and they had very comfortable beds! The catering at the lodge was incredibly fresh and homemade, with plenty of food available, buffet style. Our guide Jorje was incredibly welcoming and friendly, he really made the trip for us! I explained how I really wanted to see a Toucan and he made sure that I saw it through his binoculars! We saw pink river dolphins, an anaconda, sloths, toucans, black caimans, boas, scorpion spiders, many species of monkeys and so much more! I cannot rate this place highly enough, it’s a must visit!

I highly recommend staying and exploring the Cuyabeno Wildlife Centre. We stayed at the Dolphin Lodge, where both the staff and fellow guests were amazing. Viktor, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made every excursion feel exciting and safe. If you want a true taste of the jungle, this is the group to go with. The food was great, with vegetarian and vegan options available, and the beds were honestly the most comfortable we had during our entire trip. I only wish we had stayed longer, especially to spend time with the Siona community. Just remember—you’re deep in the jungle, and anything can happen. But the guides are always there to keep you safe and make the experience unforgettable. Overall, an amazing stay. Thank you to the staff at Dolphin Lodge.

I had an amazing time here. Next to a nice stay, guide Jorge is the best possible guide you can get since he was born & lives closeby in the area. He can tell you everything about the area and the animals. Also speaks good English.

My two companions and I can highly reccomend the 7 days jungle tour to the border of peru. The Tour is packed with activities from the first day to the last and even if it seems a little expensive it is worth every penny. The crew is in every second of the trip professional and cares about your well being in the jungle. Three times a day you get a three course menu who can easily compete with a very good equadorian restaurant. The tents are comfortable because you even get a mattress and the air circulation in the tent is good because of the nets on the fabric. The camping sites are under a roof, so no problem to get wet. You even got a shower and a toilet in the middle of the amazonas jungle which is very awesome if you think about it. The camping sites are stunning places with big lakes and the jungle with its beautiful animals all around you. Special thanks to Carlos, who knows every sound of every bird out there and can spot even the biggest caimans and the tiniest frog or snake. And also to the boat driver Olmedo, who can maneuver even in the thickest jungle river. And he can also talk to the gigant otters which is quite awesome. Over all we got long intense hike throw the jungle which a lot of animal spotting and even longer boat trips like cayman spotting at night and other animal at day. You can talk to the guide and change the schedule a bit if you not the biggest bird watcher and focus on other animals. Pro tip: don't forget your big machetes and ponchos. The rain can be very heavy and the green very thick 🙂

Words will never accurately describe the amazing time we had with Dolphin Lodge and Cuyabeno Wildlife Center. It had long been a dream of mine to visit the Amazon, and from the moment we met our guide Willian and driver Gabriel we felt so well taken care of. Willian was so great at spotting wildlife that he was able to see a fist sized snake on the shore at night from a boat going probably 30km/hr. We saw 6 different kinds of monkeys, dolphins, otters, birds, snakes, turtles, sloths and some in our group saw wild boars. The food was always incredible, and the accommodations were great. The lodge staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 4 night 5 day package also included a trip to the local indigenous Siona community which was an incredible highlight. We saw and experienced so much and are so grateful for the memories and experiences we came away with. We can't recommend Cuyabeno Wildlife Center enough, and hope to return one day soon:)

We had the absolute best time on our three days adventure in the Amazon. From the moment we stepped on the canoe to the lodge we got to see the most amazing nature and wildlife. Our guide Diego was the best and so incredibly knowledgeable. I can't believe how much we learned and saw in those few days. More than we could have expected for sure. The food was also delicious every meal and a special treat was definitely the colada morada on the first evening. And just hanging out by the river in the lodge or going for a swim was magical as there was wo much to see and observe. Thank you so much for the perfect rainforest experience!

One of the best experience . ROOMS Simple rooms with warm water , completely protected first, mosquitoes . Bathrooms in some rooms as well .Comfortable beds . Une de mes meilleures expériences de voyage !! La jungle du Cuyabeno est une forêt primaire et chercher des animaux depuis le bateau sur la rivière était fantastique! Je recommande vraiment le Cuyabeno wildlife center, ils sont très bien organisés, le lodge est confortable et les guides nous ont permis de voir pleins d’animaux dont des toucans, diverses sortes de singes, des dauphins, des aras… j’étais vraiment triste de quitter le lodge… J’ai déjà été en Amazonie en Colombie mais mon expérience au Cuyabeno était bien plus mémorable!! C’est sûrement la meilleure manière de visiter l’Amazonie! Merci à Ana notre guide et à Esmeralda de nous avoir montré autant de belles choses ❤️

Wow! The 5 day 4 night was such a great experience doing the Amazon through the Dolphin Lodge. Bus picked me up on time at Viajero. It's long and bumpy but got some sleep. William our guide must have harpey eagle eyes to be able to spot the anaconda, monkeys, cayman, sloths, dolphins, tarantulas, and soo much more. Lots of canoo trips, swimming in the lagoon, sweaty hikes, animals and laughs. Plenty of great food, juice, and water. Lodging was fine with some quirks that come from being off grid in the Amazon. I was solo and bonded quickly with the other guests. If you can, do the 5 days. You won't regret it.

Wir waren 4 Tage in der Dolphin Lodge und es war unbeschreiblich gut. Wir haben so viel gesehen, gelernt, ausprobiert und genossen. Das Personal dort ist super lieb. Unser Guide war Victor Hugo und er war super! Er weiß unglaublich viel über die Natur und es ist wirklich keine Frage offen geblieben. Außerdem hat er Adler-Augen, mit denen er auch die noch so kleinen Tiere spottet und uns zeigt. Alles in Allem: Super! Klare Empfehlung. Danke für die schöne Zeit dort🫶🏽

I am overly grateful for some of the most magical days of my trip. The facilities are well maintained and cleaned well, the food is awesome. But Elias, our guide, and Stiven, our capitano, were just a true pleasure. The were so humble and passionate about their jungle and it's animals. No idea how often we turned the boat to check on another animal spotted. I would recommend the 5d/4n, as I felt my 4d/3n were not enough. Again, Elias and Stiven: Muchas Gracis!

One of the best few days out in nature I've experienced. Every one of the staff was so hospitable. I contracted food poisoning (I found out just after I hoped on the bus too go out there.) The staff helped settle my belly and ensure I could still enjoy all the activities. Also because equador has a lot of strikes and road blockages the bus struggled to get back. I had a flight the next day so needed to get back to quito. They went above and beyond to organize taxis for thru back roads in the dead of night. Ensuring the rest of my holiday went without a hiccup. So if I could give more than 5 stars I would. They really want you to have a great time. And I really felt that. Thank you so much!

Elías is a true credit to your team, he displayed respect, kindness, patience and knowledge and showed these skills consistently every day. His attention and passion to spotting animals was incredible and he could spot the smallest animal whilst the boat was at high speed. I loved having him as our guide and I really wish him the best in his future! Stiven was a fantastic captain of the boat and he was also amazing at finding animas for us whilst driving the boat or walking through the forest another valued member of your team! The food was delicious and healthy and the bed was comfy I had the best nights sleep every night. 10/10 experience and would recommend to anyone and everyone (and hopefully they would be lucky enough to get Elias and Stiven as their guides)

Absolutely fantastic 5 days 4 nights, the rainforest is magical, so much wildlife to spot, so relaxing and peaceful, the night walks are amazing, Elias has been one of the best tour guides we’ve ever met, he was so passionate about the wildlife, a really friendly and polite man, he made our trip to the Amazon so special! He deserves so many compliment’s for his work.

My friend and I booked the 4 nights/5 days tour and we absolutely loved it! The booking process was very easy and we could easily contact them via Whatsapp and got a quick respond to our questions. The Dolphin Lodge was very nice and the staff helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the food delicious. Our guide Willian was very knowledgable and explained us a lot about the forest. We enjoyed the activities and are glad we had enough time to fully enjoy the nature at Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve.

I had a great weekend here. Beautiful wildlife and friendly staff and guides. Accommodations are what you might expect for the middle of the jungle. In all great value for the price.
