Ready to discover the Amazon of Ecuador?
FAQ’s
Q: What can I expect from a 3 day Amazon tour in Ecuador?
A: A three day Amazon tour gives you a quick but complete look at the rainforest. You explore lagoons, spot wildlife like pink river dolphins and monkeys, take guided walks and learn about the Cuyabeno Reserve. It’s ideal if you want an Amazon experience in a short amount of time.
Q: Is a 3 day Cuyabeno tour enough to see wildlife?
A: Yes. Cuyabeno is one of the most biodiverse regions in the Ecuadorian Amazon, so even in three days you can see plenty of animals. Travelers often spot dolphins, caimans, monkeys, birds and many insects. Longer tours offer more chances, but three days is a strong introduction.
Q: What’s included in the tour?
A: Transport from the Cuyabeno Bridge, lodging, meals, guided activities, canoe excursions and rubber boots. You only need to bring personal items and some cash.
Q: How active is the 3 day itinerary?
A: The activities are moderate and suit most travelers. Expect canoe rides, short jungle walks and evening outings. Your guide adjusts the pace to the group so everyone feels comfortable.
Q: What makes your tour different from other Amazon tours in Ecuador?
A: Many tours follow a similar route, but the experience depends a lot on the lodge and the team. We focus on small groups, trained local guides and clear communication from the moment you book. Our lodge is in a quieter area of the reserve, which means fewer boats, calmer wildlife sightings and a more relaxed feel. Meals are cooked fresh, cabins are comfortable and the staff is always around to help. Most guests say they appreciate how personal and well-organized the tour feels.
Q: Are your guides more experienced than guides at other lodges?
A: All guides in Cuyabeno need to be certified, but experience varies. Many guests say the guiding is a big reason they enjoyed the tour so much, since their passion really comes across.
Our guides are local, know the river system well and are great at spotting animals in all kinds of light and weather. They also take time to explain the forest, answer questions and share stories about the area.
