3.1. Changes<\/strong>
\u2022 We understand that unexpected situations and sudden changes of plans can occur. Therefore, we offer the chance to reschedule your tour free of charge up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to the original starting date of your tour. Please note that the new date will be subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee you will get your desired starting date.
\u2022 If you request a change within the 72 hours (3 days) prior to the starting date of your itinerary, we will not be able to accept it immediately. We will internally review your request and get back to you with the best possible solution. Please keep in mind that a change with such short notice might incur extra expenses. Your agent will evaluate and discuss the most convenient alternative with you.
\u2022 The first change of date is free of charge. If you require another change, there will be a 25 USD administrative fee per booking per change.<\/p>\n
Sometimes, rescheduling may not be possible, and therefore, we will have to face and opt for a cancellation. We have divided this section into two parts: Cancellation by the traveller and Cancellation by Cuyabeno Wildlife Center\u00ae. In both situations, we strongly advise our visitors to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that can cover unexpected situations.<\/p>\n
External and extraordinary circumstances beyond our control will not affect the validity of these policies. In the event of cancellation on your end, we will consistently use the original booking date to calculate the refund percentage.
\u2022 Cancellations made 30 days prior to the tour’s starting date incur a 0% cancellation fee over the total booking. A refund will be issued, minus an administrative fee of 35 USD per person.
\u2022 For cancellations received between 29 and 08 days prior to the tour’s starting date, a 40% cancellation fee over the total booking will be applied, entitling you to a 60% refund.
\u2022 For cancellations received between 07 and 03 days prior to the tour’s starting date, a 75% cancellation fee over the total booking will be applied, entitling you to a 25% refund.
\u2022 For cancellations received within 48 hours (02 days) prior to the tour’s starting date, or a no-show will incur a 100% cancellation fee over the total booking, with no refund entitlement.
